VOX 2017 Professionally speaking, it's safe to say that this has been a fun year for me as an audio producer. I speak a lot about the genuine joy I get from doing a job I love, every day. Well, off the back of my experience as a guest speaker at VOX 2016, I was excited to be returning in 2017, sporting a slightly less nervous demeanour. The creative team at Wireless Group were honoured to be finalists in 3 of this years award categories; Best Regional Radio Commercial, Best Character Performance & Best Female Voiceover Performance. The last two of which were voiced by the fabulous Melissa Sinden.   Best Regional Radio Commercial St Helens Council - Wish FM Voiceover - Steffan La Touche (& Daughter), Emma Clarke & Natalie Chisholm Audio Producer - Rick Loynes This is a hard-hitting campaign, designed to unsettle the listener. Voiceover and Audio Conference – VOX 2016

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of being invited to speak on Commercial Creativity at the annual VOX Voiceover and Audio conference at the Radisson Blu in Manchester. VOX is a UK based conference, designed to serve the voiceover and audio industry. Wander around the room and you’ll find yourself bumping into voiceover artists, actors, producers, voice & advertising agents, creative writers, radio & TV stations, productions houses…the list goes on. It’s a real who’s who of creative media talent… So imagine my mental state leading up this event, knowing I was giving a keynote presentation. Honestly, if it weren’t for my wife, I’d probably be a total hermit. Facing the sunlight only to extend a pale, pasty hand into the fridge for another Diet Coke. That’s fairly standard for a producer though, right? Suffice to say, speaking in front of a room full of industry professionals isn’t my natural habitat.
