VOX 2017
Professionally speaking, it’s safe to say that this has been a fun year for me as an audio producer. I speak a lot about the genuine joy I get from doing a job I love, every day.
Well, off the back of my experience as a guest speaker at VOX 2016, I was excited to be returning in 2017, sporting a slightly less nervous demeanour.
The creative team at Wireless Group were honoured to be finalists in 3 of this years award categories; Best Regional Radio Commercial, Best Character Performance & Best Female Voiceover Performance. The last two of which were voiced by the fabulous Melissa Sinden.

This is a hard-hitting campaign, designed to unsettle the listener. Ultimately, the pay off is somewhat chilling. It’s an uncomfortable piece of audio to listen to, but the client really wanted this campaign to raise awareness of this issue.

The VOX 2017 Sayer Producer of the Year Award
The final award of the evening was the Sayer Producer of the Year award. VOX take nominations for this award through a public vote.

I’ve since read some of the anonymous nominations, and I will honestly carry some of those words with me forever. I don’t do this job to win awards or receive that sort of praise, but it is wonderful to know that my professional values and work ethic are appreciated by the people I work with.
Thanks once again to Posy and the team behind VOX. You have once again pulled off an incredible event.
Anyway…back to the windowless room for another year.
